Chen Ghee Wen

He commenced his career in the natural rubber latex industry in 1996 with Lee Rubber Group as an Executive Trainee at Lee Rubber Co. Pte Ltd. Between 1996 and 2002, he held various operational and technical roles within the Group, including Assistant Manager (Technical) at Lee Latex (Pte) Ltd and Assistant Factory Manager at the Rembau Latex Factory, Kota Trading Co. Sdn Bhd. He later served as Factory Manager, where he was responsible for overseeing full production operations and latex compounding.

A qualified chemist, he joined YTY Industry Sdn Bhd in 2002, where he led technical and R&D activities in glove production. He was promoted to R&D and Technical Manager in 2005 and played a key role in advancing product and process innovation in both natural rubber (NR) and nitrile (NBR) examination gloves. He was among the first in the industry to successfully develop ultra‑strong NBR examination gloves at 0.05 mm thickness, contributing to the shift toward lightweight nitrile gloves. In 2012, he was appointed Group R&D and Technical Director, overseeing group‑wide R&D and technical functions.

In May 2016, he joined Central Medicare Sdn Bhd (CMSB) as Chief Operating Officer, where he led the restart and strengthening of production operations as well as R&D capabilities. Through his leadership and collaboration with the team, product quality was progressively improved, resulting in CMSB products being recognized and accepted by world‑class global buyers.

He currently serves as Group Chief Operating Officer at HARPS Global.
